Sure you won't get updates but you shouldn't need them anyways since the DLC will conform around the updated game. I guess I get your point in being upset due to the product changing slightly from what you've bought but the other has a point, just roll back the game to an old build. I honestly liked their changes in 2.0-2.2, what I don't like is how badly they broke their AI/performance of the game. Battletech, Stellaris, the games (sometimes it takes a while, sometimes not) end up edited and changed up to conform to more faster paced compedative crowd and often editing if not straight up removing features (see stellaris FTL systems, gutted now) You do say faster paced but all of the changes they've done recently are the exact opposite.
